Cement tiles are having a bit of a moment but in my mind, they've never not been in style. They've always been one of my favourite features in the entrances of the Victorian homes in some of my favourite neighbourhoods in London. I love the way they make a statement, add a splash of graphic pattern, and also provide a very practical material for an entrance hallway. Right now the main hallway in our home is all wood, and already I'm seeing how impractical this is with a busy house filled with boots, pets and strollers. I'd love to make a change to tiles in the near future, before thoroughly damaging the floor. While it would't really work for our home, I love the idea of taking it all the way to the sidewalk too!
