At home with H & M Home creative director Evelina Soderberg

With H & M home opening the doors of its first Toronto store last week, I thought it'd be fun to peak inside the home of one of its creative minds. Evelina Kravaev Soderberg has been the creative director of H & M home for the past six years. Unsurprisingly her own Stockholm apartment is simple, stylish and filled with lots of well curated vignettes. The space is decorated with many modern classic pieces with a lot of vintage items that prevent it from being too trendy and bring a sense of warmth and soul.

I love the mix of this vignette - decanters and clear vases in front of casually leaning art. Layered and interesting but still not overly fussy.

Evelina said she had always wanted a long low bookshelf, so when she moved to this apartment, had this one custom made. While the space is well styled, the mix of lots of vintage pieces and small personal make it feel lived in and not too perfect.

Love this idea of using putting a marble top on a traditional farmhouse table and injecting a little dose of colour with the light blue chairs. Note: the chairs have natural walnut toned legs but still work perfectly with the black based table, a lot of people are often afraid to mix it up, but as you see here neutrals mix perfectly together!

When asked what the current interior trends were for the upcoming season, her reply was "Brass, even more brass, open knit and coarse textures - the grey shades remain important as well as wood surfaces".
