Agua House, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Having a dog named Javier Mascherano, supporting Argentina in the World Cup was really ever the only option. So, in addition to watching them stun on the football pitch, my thoughts have been turning to Argentina quite a bit recently. This striking modern home just outside of Buenos Aires caught my eye recently. Surrounded by pools on all sides of the home, the house built by Buenos Aires based architectural firm Barrionuevo Sierchuk came to be known as Agua House, or 'water house'. The rough stone walls of both the exterior and interior of the home provide a bit of texture and warmth to the otherwise slick white space. And of course, the best part of the home is the main living area, opening up completely to the surrounding pools and outdoor living spaces, and boasting an amazing view.
