I've already such much about my love for Scandinavian winter style. I am very excited at the moment, as we've just booked our flights to visit some special friends in Gothenburg, Sweden for a few days during our holiday, so at last I will get to experience some of the charm of Scandinavian holiday style first hand. While their style is very clean and minimal, the Swedes always bring a sense of warmth and coziness to their homes. One of my favourite features of many Swedish apartments are the tall stoves or fireplaces. They add a beautiful architectural element to the space and bring such an inviting sense of comfort to the otherwise all white, calm and very soothing spaces. Here are two beautiful apartments in Stockholm that we recently listed for sale. While neither are currently available, both would be such a lovely place to curl up on a cold winter evening.
This airy open plan space (below) had a beautiful stove not only in the living room, but also in the bedroom.
This little loft-like apartment packs so much character and charm into a small studio footprint. Love the exposed beams, and of course, the fireplace at the centre of it all.
